Welcome!

Welcome to our community here at At Mary's Tapestry! We a thrilled to be starting this podcast and to share the gifts and talents God has graced us with! Here is a little bit about us, to get you pumped for the future of this community!

With a total of over 40 years experience in ministry between us and a desire to work with families, At Mary's Tapestry is designed to provide our gifts and experience in a safe space to deepen faith in those who journey with us. Each episode will offer insights, advice, and unfiltered conversations on faith and family in the modern world. We will navigate challenges and celebrate milestones as we hope to inspire and empower listeners and cultivate deeper connections within families.

Our patron Our Lady Undoer of Knots will guide us through her grace and wisdom as she interweaves our lives together and delicately unties the knots within us.

Now that you know our mission, here is a little bit about each of us on the team for At Mary's Tapestry!

Diane Pickert

I am a single mom of 2 beautiful daughters who are both married.  My eighth grandchild is due in October, and I have 2 more in heaven.  I have worked in youth ministry for 20 years starting as a parent volunteer and grew into the Youth Minister.  I took a 4 year break to work in Prevention.  I was asked to go back to work in the church with families and youth.  After saying no several times, I was moved by the Holy Spirit through adoration to go back into ministry, but specifically to help strengthen the Christian family. It is through my experiences as a single mother of two daughters, seeing the power of forgiveness, and the importance of the faith as the core of the family that has inspired me to do this podcast. I have an AA Degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development through St. Mary College in Leavenworth, KS, a BA in Communication from Oakland University in Rochester, MI, and I’m working on my thesis for an MA through Maryvale Institute from Birmingham, England in Applied Theology and Catechesis.

I am a wife, mother, teacher, and child of God. I have spent the last 6 years in Catholic education and have been called to work with other parents and families on how to be more secure in their faith in order to truly be the first teachers in their children’s lives. I have 3 children with my husband and am constantly learning more about my faith. After having our oldest son, we were greeted by Parents as Teachers and experienced the wonderful gift this program brings to new parents. It was at this time that I wondered what it would be like for the Catholic Church to have something like this. This has led me to desire to learn and share with other parents so that they feel the most confident in leading their families.

I am a wife, mother, ballerina, perpetual church volunteer, and podcast crazy lady. After training for 20 years as a ballerina, I was called to serve people through Church ministry. I attended Benedictine College and met my spouse, then got a masters degree in Theological Studies on Marriage & Family Life at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute. We got married during my masters and then two years later welcomed our daughter to our family. It is because of this call and the beautiful encounters with professors at both institutions that my desire to start this podcast was born.

We hope this community is a place of support, hope and love, as we grow in holiness in our vocations as parents, and spouses! Stay tuned for more blog posts from each of us! We have lots of varied interests we'd love to share!
